Black beauty written by Anna Sewell is an autobiography of a horse , a remarkable black horse with a white flower on his head and a white foot. Black beauty tells the story of his life in his own unique voice from the time when he was a young colt who grazed the meadow idyllic country pastures, to his work pulling cart on cobble-stoned streets in London. his experience with both kind and cruel treatment and the last where he finally finds love and happiness.
This book really touched my heart deeply as it has told me the story of a young colt and all his struggles to find his way back home. It has made me experience all that hard work which a horse
does in an extraordinary way. the kind of experience i got while reading this book had made me cry for a while, had made me laugh for a while moreover this is deeply connected with the senses of a horse which is pretty amazing.
I was really impressed by author Anna Sewell
when she was 14 years old, while she was returning from school she slipped and broke both her ankles. she was unable to go anywhere and mostly got around by carriage horses. she dedicated all her life completing the novel. The bad news in her life was that she got hepatitis and when she was unable to hold pencil, her mother wrote the book for her she helped the way too much that's why Anna dedicated much of the book to her. however when she got her book published she died only after 5 months. which gives the great turn in the history of her journey.
According to me, this is the best book for children because after reading this my sympathy towards all those animals who are used for working have grow ed.
you should definitely read this and this was the first novel i read when i was 10 years old and after reading this i begged my parents to buy me a horse but they don't bought me!
